Road Safety Authority

Posted 21st October 2009 in Announcements

We have received a letter from the Road Safety Authority requesting our support.  A new road Traffic Bill will propose a reduction in the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) limit for drivers.  The RSA asserts this reduction will reduce the risk of collisions, save lives and prevent injuries.  They have set up a dedicated web site at http://www.drinkdriving.ie to provide everyone who is interested with truthful and factual information on this important issue.  The RSA would like us to be informed about this issue and to consider the effect this will have on us, as road users and as members of our Parish.  We urge parishioners to get informed and become involved in this important debate.
