Parish Pastoral Council: June 2010

The Parish Pastoral Council held their 6th meeting of the year on Thursday 17th June 2010.

Summary report as follows:

  • The door-to-door distribution of the book of St. Luke’s Gospel will commence in September.
  • The Evangelisation Team together with the local secondary school chaplains coordinated a special liturgy for the examination students.
  • A trip to Rome for Young Adults will be represented by two youths from the parish.
  • The Diocesan Office submission to Dublin City Council in relation to the rezoning of many church lands from zone 15 to zone 1 includes Holy Trinity Parish. However, the only plan for the land around Holy Trinity Church is the building of a Parish Pastoral Centre.
  • The newly established Funeral Ministry Team will assist at the Removals and Funeral Masses from August.
  • The 7.30 pm Mass Monday to Friday will be suspended indefinitely as and from the end of June, and the 5.30 pm Sunday Mass for the months of July, August and September.

The next Pastoral Council meeting takes place on 14th September 2010.
