Funeral Ministry: Setting up a team and the first stages of Funeral Ministry. A workshop for beginners on Saturday 6 November in Clonliffe College from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. This will be led by members of more experienced groups so it will be practically based and focused on the reality of the funeral ministry in a parish today. Feast of Life: On Thursday 25 November @ 8pm in the Pro-Cathedral. The Feast of Life will be performed by Choirs of Brackenstown and Larkhill/Whitehall. The Feast of Life is a music account of stories from the Gospel of Luke. This will form one of the concluding events of the Year of Evangelisation. The evening will commence with music by Pro-Nuovo a music group of the Pro-Cathedral and followed by the Feast of Life performance. Fundraiser to Support Suicide Charity: Local (Ballinteer) lad, Conor McCarthy, whose brother Fergal was one of the 600 young men in Ireland who died as a result of suicide last year, is cycling 90k - the legendry “Sydney to Gong” race to raise awareness and funds for Reach. Reach, run practical training courses geared for those suffering with Mental Health issues. Fergal also received loving care, support and encouragements. The race is on 7th November 2010. The Dublin County Choir is holding a concert of much loved music including John Rutter: Requiem. Also works by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Franz Lehar, Giuseppi Verdi, Leonard Cohen etc. The concert is in support of St. Vincent de Paul. Venue: St. John the Evangelist Church, Ballinteer. World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims this year is being held on Sunday 21 November. PARC Road Safety Group is holding an interdominational ceremony for World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims in Buncrana at The Buncrana Youth Centre, Castle Avenue, Co. Donegal at 2pm on Sunday the 21 November. All are invited to attend. The injured and the relatives of those killed are particularly welcome. Website: www.parcgroup.ie for further information.
