19th World Day of the Sick: All are invited to participate in a Mass and celebration of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick on Sunday 6 February 2011 at 3.00 p.m. St. Anthony’s Church, Clontarf, led by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin.

Catholic Schools’ Week 2011: Catholic Schools Week (CSW) takes place from 31st January to 6th February 2011 on the theme ‘Catholic Schools - Rooted in Jesus Christ’. Day for Consecrated Life: The Day for Consecrated Life will be marked by a Service of Prayer led by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin will take place in St. Brigid’s Church, Killester, on Wednesday 2 February at 7.30 p.m.

Rite of Election: The Rite of Election (for Catechumens) and the Call to Continuing Conversion (for Candidates already baptised and who wish to be received into full communion with the Catholic Church) takes place as usual on the First Sunday of Lent, 13 March 2011 at 3.30pm in St Mary’s Pro Cathedral, Marlborough Street, Dublin 1.

Emmanuel Programme 2011: The 5th Emmanuel celebration of liturgical music in Second Level Schools will come to a glorious conclusion in the Mahony Hall, Helix Centre, on Wednesday & Thursday 23rd & 24th March at 8.00 p.m. Book your tickets at www.helix.ie

Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes has an allocation of 170 places on the Special Section for the Sick this September. Funeral Ministry for Beginners: This will take place in the Church of the Holy Child, Swords Road and in the Pastoral Centre on Saturday 19 February 2011 from 10.00 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. This practical workshop will be facilitated by Father Damian McNeice with the Larkhill/Whitehall Funeral team. Becoming the Body of Christ: This CD recording launched last April contains music and reflections on the Eucharist in preparation for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress in 2012. The sheet music which up to now has been in different collections is now available in book format including the reflections.
