Diocesan Notices: 15th March 2011

Posted 15th March 2011 in Diocesan Notices

From the Dublin Diocesan Noticeboard.

Family Carers - Census 2011 & question 22: Are you a family carer? Maybe your wife is a frail older person, or your son has special needs or your sister has a neurological condition? You probably don’t recognise yourself as a “carer” and you may or may not be receiving carers allowance or benefit. On April the 10th Question 22 on the census will ask you to tick yes to the box to say you are a carer and it will ask you to count the number of hours of care you provide in a week. Ticking yes ensures we have an accurate figure of family carers in Ireland and this helps in planning local services that support you in your role e.g. places in day centres or respite beds. Please tell others about this campaign and check out www.census.ie for further information. Nora Kirrane 01 8360011 www.crosscare.ie
