As usual it will be a colourful and joyful celebration of our shared faith. ALL ARE WELCOME. Refreshments after the Mass. If you can wear national/cultural dress and bring some snack food from your country (including Ireland) to share after Mass - it would be a great help.

Aware, Give Others the Gift of your Time: Aware’s first ever Volunteer Open Day takes place on Wednesday 18th May next, between 1-7pm at No. 5 South Leinster Street, Dublin 2 (part of the National Gallery, entrance to the right of the Clare St Gallery entrance). Anyone who is interested in giving the gift of their time to help Aware with its work is encouraged to attend. We have a huge variety of opportunities for volunteers, ranging from roles that require only a few hours volunteering per year (e.g. Aware 10K Run; Daisy Days) to roles within Aware’s support services which require a weekly commitment of 2-3 hours. There are also lots of other opportunities too, which means that anyone who wants to donate some of their time to a very important cause can be facilitated. We look forward to seeing you on the day, just drop in between 1-7pm as is convenient for you. And remember volunteers benefit too: “It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson). Vocations Ireland Event in Killarney: World Day of Prayer for Vocations - Sunday 15th May 2011 - Killarney. Pope Paul VI instituted the first World Day of Prayer for Vocations (the 4th Sunday of Easter) on the 11th April 1964 saying; “O Jesus, divine Shepherd of the spirit, you have called the Apostles in order to make them fishermen of men, you still attract to you burning spirits and generous young people, in order to render them your followers and ministers to us” . In the 43 years since, successive pontiffs have called on the Church to pray for vocations. Join with us in praying for vocations to the priesthood and religious life on this World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Gather at Muckross Abbey, Killarney, Co. Kerry, at 1pm for a short Prayer Service. This will be followed by a three-mile walk to the Franciscan Friary. Outdoor Mass in the Friary grounds at 3.30 followed by refreshments. All are welcome. Enquiries: 01/6689954 and 086/7820149. Email: info@vocationsireland.com Website: www.vocationsireland.com
