DUBLIN SIMON COMMUNITY: is a charity working in the homeless sector, providing food, shelter and rehabilitative services to people experiencing homelessness. An important part of our work is our Service User Participation programme, which aims to help our clients become more involved in the day-to-day running of our organisation. Clients involved in this programme are now organising a Sale of Work to raise money for Dublin Simon. They are holding it on Saturday 23rd July in the Macro Community Centre on North King St (corner of Green St). It will run from 10am to 4 pm.
VESPERS AT UNIVERSITY CHURCH: Cardinal George Pell, Archbishop of Sydney, will celebrate Vespers in the University Church, St Stephen’s Green, on Thursday 28th July at 5.00 p.m. The Cardinal will preach on Blessed John Henry Newman. Music will be provided by the Lassus Scholars. All are very welcome to attend.
AOIC’S 32nd INTERNATIONAL CHORAL CONDUCTING SUMMER SCHOOL UNDER ARTISTIC DIRECTOR: Bernie Sherlock takes places at University of Limerick from Sunday 14 - Friday 19 August, 2011. Expert tuition is offered at four levels, catering for the complete beginner right up to the advanced conductor. Masterclasses, daily choir sessions, group warm-ups, an open discussion forum and open rehearsals will round off the week to ensure a varied, vibrant and valuable course is enjoyed by all.
