Ecumenical Community Carol Singing: Ecumenical community carol singing will take place in front of the Mansion House, Dawson Street, on Saturday 17th December at 3.30pm. The singing will be led by CantairĂ­ Avondale. Seasonal readings will be given by The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Father Kevin Doran (Secretary General - International Eucharistic Congress 2012), Mr Rob Clarke (CEO of Spirit Radio), and Mr Robert Dowds TD. All are welcome to attend.

Carol service in St Mary’s Pro Cathedral: The annual Christmas carol service in St Mary’s Pro Cathedral will be held on Sunday 18th December at 3.30pm. All are welcome to attend.

Carol Service: The parish of Larkhill/Whitehall/Santry is holding their annual combined choirs carol service in the Church of the Holy Child, Whitehall on Sunday 18th December at 7.30pm. All are welcome to attend.

Ecumenical Carol Service: An ecumenical carol service will be held in St Michael’s parish church in Athy on Sunday 18th December at 7.30pm. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

Christmas Week Messiah: A magical rendition of Handel’s Messiah will be performed in candle light, by The Palestrina Choir, Bach singers, St Mary’s Pro Cathedral Girls Choir and the orchestra of Saint Cecilia in St Mary’s Pro Cathedral on Tuesday 20th December at 8pm. Tickets for this festive highlight are €20 and are available at the Pro Cathedral shop or can be purchased at the door.

Artane Senior Band: Our Lady of Consolation Church, Donnycarney will host the Artane senior band for their annual Mass on Sunday, 18th December at 12 noon. Following Mass the band will give a recital of Christmas tunes. All are welcome to attend.

A Pastoral Programme to prepare for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress (IEC2012): The 50th International Eucharistic Congress is envisaged not just as a weeklong event but as a spiritual journey of preparation and celebration. To help pilgrims along the way, the IEC2012 have mapped the journey in four stages and have developed a Pastoral Preparation Programme for the Congress, providing resources to help reflection on the Congress theme - “The Eucharistic: Communion with Christ and with One Another”.
