Week of Prayer for Christian Unity: On Wednesday 18th January, the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity commences. Resources for parishes are available and can be found online at www.ctbi.org.uk and www.oikoumene.org.

A lecture on “The Eucharist and Christian Unity” with Fr. Ernest Falardeau s.s.s., will be held in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, on Saturday 14th January at 2.30pm, in preparation for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity and the 50th International Eucharistic Congress. All are welcome to attend.

World Day of Migrants and Refugees: To mark the World Day of Migrants and Refugees Bishop Eamonn Walsh will celebrate a special Mass in St Aengus’s Church, Balrothery, Tallaght on Sunday 15th January at 12 noon. All are welcome.

Talks on “The Eucharistic” with Fr John Hughes: As part of the Bray pastoral area preparations for the International Eucharistic Congress 2012, a series of talks on The Eucharist will be given in St. Fergal’s Church, Killarney Road, Bray by the Very. Reverend John Hughes, O.S.A. Fr. John is the Episcopal Vicar for Priests in the Archdiocese of Dublin and is also the Administrator of University Church, St. Stephen’s Green. The talks will be held on Wednesdays on the following dates; 18th January, 25th January, 1st February, 8th February. For full details log on to www.dublindiocese.ie. The talks will begin at 7.30pm, followed by tea/coffee & light refreshments. All are welcome to attend.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity at the Church of the Three Patrons: A service will be held on Sunday 15th January at 3.30 pm in the Church of the Three Patrons, Rathgar with Church of Ireland Bishop of Limerick Rev. Unwanted Gifts appeal: On behalf of Fr Pat O’Donoghue, Fr Damian O’Reilly and the staff at St Mary’s Pro Cathedral and Crosscare, we would like to offer our sincerest thanks to those of you who have so generously donated to the fifth annual ‘Unwanted Gifts Appeal’. Like that of previous years the response to this initiative has been phenomenal and we are once again astounded by the kindness and generosity of people in the Archdiocese of Dublin. Crosscare, the social agency of the Archdiocese of Dublin collected the unwanted gifts on 6th of January and will distribute the gifts to elderly people living alone in Dublin’s North inner city- who they support through the Care Local Project. Thousands of people will receive a gift throughout the year, making a great difference to the lives of many.

Public Lecture at Gardiner Street: A public lecture with Fr Brian Grogan SJ on his book “Where to From Here?” - The Christian vision of life after death in Gardiner Street Church will be held on Monday 30th January at 7.30 pm in Gardiner Street Church. Admission is free however donations are welcome. The book will be on sale at a price of €14.00.

Global Awareness Course: The Volunteer Mission Movement (VMM) is running a global awareness course in the Irish Aid Volunteer Centre Dublin.
