World Day of the Sick 2012: The Diocesan celebration of the 20th World Day of the Sick will be held in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Mourne Road, Drimnagh on Sunday 5th February at 3pm. Archbishop Diarmuid Martin will be the main celebrant at Mass which will include a celebration of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Parking will be available in the school grounds on Sperrin Road beside the church. Anyone who requires assistance to attend is invited to contact our parish office on 01 4556105. Transport will be arranged through the local Order of Malta, Red Cross and Civil Defence. Around 20 Priests will be needed to assist with the Anointing of the sick. Any diocesan or religious priest ministering in the Dublin Diocese who would like to volunteer his services on the day please contact john.flaherty@dublindiocese.ie. All are welcome to attend.

Magis - Jesuit Young Adult Ministry: Magis are part of the organising committee for the youth space for the International Eucharistic Congress and are running a week long series of practical action-reflection activities in Dublin city during the Congress, reflecting on ‘Christ in the world’. The Blessed John Paul II Theological Society: invites you to a talk by FR Wojciech Giertych, O.P., Theologian of the Papal Household in the Vatican, on Monday 6th February at 8pm in the Renehan Hall, St Patrick’s College, Maynooth. The title of this talk is “Virtuous human action: an icon of God, St Thomas Aquinas’s vision of Christian morality”. All are welcome to attend.

Discovery Gospel Choir: Discovery Gospel Choir is looking for new singers and musicians. The Dominican Justice Office: Invite you to a ‘Meditation on the Spirit of Trees’ on Saturday, 11th February from 11.00am-4.00pm in the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin. John Feehan, senior lecturer in Environmental Science at University College, Dublin will lead a workshop and look at practical ways in our efforts to bring about greater justice and peace in the world.
