Lecture at St. Mary’s Haddington Road: Sr. Margaret MacCurtin O.P. will give a lecture in St. Mary’s Haddington Road, Dublin 4, on Thursday 8th March 2012 at 8.00 p.m. The lecture is entitled “Whatever happened to Vatican II?” Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.

A Series of Talks with Fr Kieran O’Mahony, OSA: Fr. Kieran O Mahony is giving a series of talks on the Gospels in Our Lady of Consolation, Donnycarney each Thursday during Lent beginning at 7.30pm. They last an hour. All are welcome. There is no cover charge.

Lenten Talks at Churches of Portmarnock & Malahide: A series of Talks will take place each Wednesday over the coming weeks. Speakers will include, Dom Mark Patrick Hederman OSB, the Abbot of Glenstal Abbey; Agnes Rowley from Aware; Major Gillian Dicker from The Salvation Army; Sheila Crowley from Ruhama. Lenten Talks at Booterstown: Churches together - Serving the Gospel, Lenten Talks and Discussions will take place on the theme “When I Needed a Neighbour Were You There?” Speakers and dates are as follows: Thursday 8th March, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin; Thursday 15th March, Very Reverend John Dunlop; Thursday 22nd March, Rev. Wonder of the Shroud: An evening of reflection on the Shroud of Turin will take place on the 30th March at 7:45pm in the Dominican Hall, Athy, Co. Kildare. Cost: Donation to benefit local charities. Laudete Dominium - Music for a Spring Evening: Internationally acclaimed chamber choir CODETTA (based in Derry) are in concert in St Patricks Church, Celbridge, on 10th March. Directed by Donal Doherty, their programme will include Agnus Dei (Samuel Barber), Christus Vincit (James MacMillan), Ave Maria (Tomás Luis de Victoria), as well as Spirituals such as Witness and The Battle of Jericho. CODETTA will be joined by mezzo-soprano Sharon Carty (Celbridge native, now based in Germany), by renowned organist Dr John O’Keefe (director of Choral Music at NUI Maynooth), and by St Patrick’s Parish Senior Choir. The concert begins at 8 pm, and tickets are available locally or at the door @ €10.

St Joseph’s Sunday: Men, and their families are invited to celebrate St Joseph’s Sunday on Sunday 18th March 2012 for the annual pilgrimage to honour St. Joseph at Knock Shrine, Co Mayo. Starting at 2.00pm, a Holy Hour, Holy Mass and Benediction will be held in Knock Basilica. Spiritual Director will deliver a Reflection to families on the relevance of St Joseph to married, single, priest and religious men of today.
