CURA Crisis Pregnancy Support Services are currently recruiting new Crisis Pregnancy Counsellors to work on a voluntary basis in their three Dublin Centres; City Centre (South Anne Street), Blanchardstown and Tallaght. Cura are holding Information Sessions in: The Maldron Hotel, Tallaght on Monday 20th February, 7.30-9pm; The Crowne Plaza, Blanchardstown on Wednesday 22nd February, 7.30-9pm. Lenten Talks at Holy Trinity Parish, Donaghmede-Clongriffin-Balgriffin: the talks will be held at 7.30pm on each of the following dates; Wednesday the 29th of February with Dr. Mark Dooley, Professor of Philosophy, UCD & Columnist Irish Daily Mail; Wednesday the 7th March with Maria Stanley Mohan, Counsellor and psychotherapist; Wednesday the 14th of March with David Quinn, founder of the Iona Institute and Journalist; Wednesday the 21st March, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin.

Gardiner St Church Annual Mass in thanks for the life of Fr John Sullivan and prayer for his canonisation, Sat Feb 18 at 11 a.m. Cuppa afterwards. Celebrant and Homily - Fr Conor Harper SJ, Vice-Postulator of the Cause of Fr John.

Spring Adult Faith Series at Gardiner St Church: The Spring Adult Faith Series will take place on the theme of ‘Reconciliation’. 8 - 9 p.m. Suggested donation €5 per session. Feb 14: The Sacrament of Reconciliation - History and Best Practice - Fr Paddy Boyle; Feb 21: Reconciliation with Myself - Sr Therese Larkin IBVM; Feb 28 - Reconciliation with Others - Fr Brian Lennon SJ.

Public lecture by Fr Paul Coutinho at Gardiner St Church: Friday March 2 - ‘How Big is Your God?’: SJ, 7.30 pm in the church. Fr Paul is from Mumbai and St Louis USA where he ministers and teaches in Ignatian Spirituality and will be giving the novena of Grace. He will also give a lecture in St Ignatius, Galway on Feb 28th.

Psalm Day: The Royal School of Church Music in Ireland (RCSM), in association with the National Centre for Liturgy, will host a Psalm Day on Saturday 11th February in Renehan Hall, St Patrick’s College, Maynooth at 10 am. The day will involve papers and discussions on the nature of psalmody, the history of the psalms, as well as highlighting the challenges facing musicians in dealing with psalms. There will also be some practical discussion on the various types of psalm setting used and help given to participants to come to a greater understanding of the wealth and beauty of the texts and the settings which aim to bring them to life.

B.E. Beginning Experience: B.E. is a support group for those coping with the pain of loss of their life partner, through death, separation or divorce. This is a healing ministry, which helps to resolve the grief that goes with the end of a marriage or relationship. Coping effectively with bereavement is a skill we can all learn. The next ‘Coping Programme’ will commence on Wednesday 15th February at 7.30pm in White Friars Community Centre, Aungier St., Dublin 2 and will run for 7 weeks. Dublin Diocesan Eucharistic Congress Preparation Events:
Mass Rock Sites: The Dublin Preparatory Committee IEC 2012 are researching Mass Rock sites throughout the Dublin Diocese. We ask parish Priests to check this with local/parish history resources and local historians, and to email their findings to kevingbartley@eircom.net or parishofficeclonskeagh@eircom.net. This does not include Holy Well or other sites. It is Mass Rock/ Penal Sites only.
Reflections on the Eucharistic: A talk on the Three As of receiving the Blessed Eucharistic, Ark, Abandonment and Amen with Dr Oliver Treanor will be held on Wednesday 15th February at 8pm in the Iona Centre, Knocklyon.
Talks on the Eucharist: Three talks on the Eucharistic will be held on Tuesday 14th, 21st and 28th February in St Dominic’s Day Chapel, Tallaght from 8-9pm. The talks will be given by Fr John Littleton. This is an ideal opportunity to deepen our appreciation and understanding of the Eucharist. All are welcome to attend.

Events at Orlagh Retreat Centre:
Exploring faith through film: Amélie is the next film to be shown in our popular exploring faith through film series. The film will be shown on Friday 10th February at 7pm, followed by a light snack and a discussion led by Fr Kieran O’Mahony OSA. Places are limited, so advanced booking is required. Cost €10.
Day for yourself: Our monthly ‘Day for yourself’ will be held on Saturday 11th February with the theme ‘Healing in our lives’. The day will be led by Dr. Bernadette Toal and Fr. John Byrne. The aim of the day is to help people take another step towards whatever healing they need, and also to be agents of healing for others in their lives. The day will run from 10.00am to 4.30pm with the option of Mass at 4.30pm. Cost €50 (including a full lunch).
Exploring John’s Gospel: After the well-attended series in the autumn, Fr Kieran O’Mahony OSA will give three lectures on Monday 13th, 20th and 27th of February from 7.30-9.30pm on St. John’s Gospel under the title Exploring John’s Gospel: Receive the Holy Spirit. The cost is €10 per lecture.

Aware Harbour Walk: Aware are holding a Habour Walk on St Patrick’s Day 17th March. This event is a 16 or 8 mile walk around Dublin bay and you can choose to start at Howth or Dun Laoghaire harbour and walk to the opposite.
