Pastor's Desk: Feast of All Souls

Posted 1st November 2014 in Pastor's Desk

Welcome everyone. Today we celebrate the Feast of All the Faithful Departed more commonly known as All Souls Day. Yesterday was the Feast of All Saints when we remembered those members of our families who have been rewarded by God with a place in His Heavenly Kingdom. Today we remember those who are still on their way to the eternal banquet we hear about in scripture. We invite parishioners to return their November List of the Dead so that your loved one can be remembered at all Masses this month and on the First Fridays throughout the year. Please also note that the Annual Mass for those who died in the parish over the last year will be celebrated next Friday 7th November at 7.30pm. May their souls and the souls of all the Faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
